Grill from Gamble

Filed under: Woodworking — thefusionguy @ 12:30 pm

My family and I visited the Gamble House in Pasadena two weeks ago. This is a famous craftsman house designed and built by the Greene brothers around the turn of the century, now administered by USC. Very impressive place. I bought a cast iron grill at the bookshop there. After some cogitation, I turned it into a grill for the cold-air return in my house. Again it’s my trademark red oak/purpleheart with poly/oil finish. The grill wasn’t the least bit flat, so that presented some construction problems!
