Cube Puzzle

Filed under: Woodworking — thefusionguy @ 10:22 pm

Here’s a reproduction of a cube puzzle I first saw in the Mathematical Games section of Scientific American, around 1970. It’s made of 4/4 purpleheart, finished with Maloof oil/wax mixture which is inviting to the hands.

The pieces are shown in this thumbnail. All unique arrangements of 3 and 4 cubelets except the straight arrangements are in these pieces.

  1. They look like 3D-tetris pieces to me! Looks great on my table… the colors compliment each other very nicely. – Owen
